Two weeks!

So I leave for Alaska in 2 weeks, June 20th. I have feelings of nervousness and anxiousness but definitely of excitement. I've been looking over the list of gear we need and I'm almost there. This week I'll be making a backpack, camera, and hiking boot purchase. It's hard to believe I'll be living in Alaska for 6 weeks. I don't think it' quite hit me yet that my summer is going to look a lot different from what I have known...my whole life. I hope to have my camera soon, so look for posts of packing, Erin's graduation, and the beginning of my summer!

Speaking of Erin's graduation....my baby sister is graduating high school next Wednesday! I'm going to be a mess, probably bawling my eyes out. I can't believe it's already been 3 years since I've graduated. I'm actually looking forward to spending 5 years in college...I'm not ready to be out on my own yet ;)

The online summer course is still going. It's getting a little boring though. I'll be done before I leave for Alaska so that's a plus. Hopefully I'll make an A!

I hope to read a lot in Alaska and I've been thinking about what books to take with me. I've considered the Narnia Series (seems Arctic worthy) but I know people have told me other books to read I just can't remember...if there is anyone reading my blog at all...any suggestions for a good read?

I'll probably upload pictures and post again after Erin's graduation and after her party next week once I get my new camera!

"Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those in prison as if ou were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering." Hebrews 13:1-3

I vote for the Chronicles of Narnia. I can give you other suggestions of good reads, being graduated with a degree in English and all. (;
