Hopefully I'll do a little better job letting you know what's going on around here in the Arctic Circle...I'm being held accountable by another grad student here named Chris who told me he blogs everyday to let his family know what he's doing in case he doesn't talk to them that day...so....Ok Ok Ok, I'll try to be better at this.
Please look at my pictures so far: ALASKA PICTURES
In short, the work days are long here, the sun shines all the time, the food is AMAZING, and the lakes are gorgeous. Today is the Fourth of July here and it's a huge celebration. Each lab will construct a float (I'm in Lab 5, GTH Project!) and there are different awards and we have to dress up in costume. But we're only allowed to start making things after dinner. It's going to be a night of fun and celebration and I'm excited. We get Sundays off normally and it's really a great time to spend some time for myself in this beautiful tundra landscape and take a breather. I really want to take a hike somewhere this Sunday, so I'll let you know what happens...I promise ;)
Enjoy the videos and pictures! I miss you all.

I loved your videos. I especially liked when you said "awkward" as you walked in the door. (:
I loved your videos. From one former Alaskan I am jealous. Have a great time.
